Translating inspiration into reality

A Fresh Touch Interior Design And Decorating is an intimate colour, interior/exterior design and decoration practice, consulting in both the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne.

Designer Michelle Fieldsend, a trained nurse, and originally from NSW, moved to Ashburton in Victoria 20 years ago, but after she and her husband became empty nesters, they decided it was time for the sea change. Having visited Tootgarook several times before, they decided to make the move and give the peninsula a try. “Within three weeks, we were hooked.”, she says.

Always planning renovations and clearly having a knack for decorating, Michelle, at 39 years young, decided on a career change and studied interior design and decoration at TAFE. During her first year of studies she was crowned FIAA Young Interior Designer of the Year, 1999. This would be the first of many nods and accolades including countless features on houzz.com.au, and in prestigious publications such as Home Beautiful and Living etc. Magazine.

Having spent over 20 years in the industry, Michelle continues to give patrons the individualism they crave. She adds, “Rather than following trends, my approach is to create a unique identity for each scheme, reflecting my clients’ individual taste, personality and lifestyle. At the same time, offering affordable design solutions, be it for new or existing spaces.”

Included amongst their enduring clientele are GROLLO Homes and now also FORME Homes, where A Fresh Touch assists their clients in the selection of materials, finishes and colours for the exterior and Interior.

Whether small or large scale, A Fresh Touch interior design and decorating can go from turning a single room into a beautiful, useful space, to adding a fresh look to every inch of your home or office
