Out Loud on the Ninch
Midsumma comes to the Mornington Peninsula for the first time in 2026 with Out Loud on the Ninch set to transform the Peninsula Community Theatre into a vibrant sunset celebration of queer identity, creative expression and intergenerational connection.
Taking place on Saturday, 7 February 2026, the event is part of Midsumma’s Regional Activation Program and welcomes LGBTQIA+ community members and allies for an evening of pride, performance, and shared stories. The celebration will also feature live queer performers Maxon and DJ Minogue, food trucks, and information stalls offering resources and connections for the local queer community.
At the heart of the event is You & I, a new photographic exhibition created through an intergenerational exchange between queer young people aged 18–24 and queer elders on the peninsula. Participants will explore photography, portraiture, storytelling and documentary practice through workshops led by professional queer local artists Noa Wolf Smith Fletcher (Photography) and Roe Bonnici (Filmmaking & Visual Arts).
