DESCRIPTION:The walls of the Elisabeth Murdoch Gallery will spring to life 
 with a series of recent works by celebrated Australian painter Christopher
  Pyett. All made within the past five years\, these abstract paintings rep
 resent Pyett’s sensitivity to the rhythm and character of colour\, and h
 is unparalleled knowledge of colour theory.\n\nAt 82\, with an exhibition 
 history spanning more than six decades behind him\, Pyett paints in his Pe
 arcedale studio every day. His practice is disciplined and meditative\, wh
